In China, a woman who kidnapped 17 children with her criminal accomplices and sold them was executed. This was reported by the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the PRC here.
In October, the Guizhou province court sentenced 61-year-old Yui Huain, who was accused of kidnapping 17 children, to death.
"After being confirmed by the Supreme People's Court, the Intermediate People's Court of Guiyang city in Guizhou province carried out the death sentence against Yui Huain on February 28," the report says.
According to the court, from 1993 to 2003, Yui Huain and her accomplices kidnapped 17 children from Guizhou and Yunnan provinces and the city of Chongqing. All of them were sold in Hebei province.
During the trial, the woman was indifferent to the victims and did not express any remorse, writes the "Xinjin Newspaper".
According to the publication, the first one sold was her own child, Yui Huain. She was arrested in 2004 for kidnapping and selling children, but managed to present herself as another person, as a result, she only received an eight-year prison sentence.
