Kazakhstan plans to abandon the dissection of bodies in forensic medical examinations.
During a government meeting, the Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsenbaev announced the introduction of new methods in expert activities.
"We will implement the 'Virtual Autopsy' system, which is based on the use of computer tomography for examining bodies. This research avoids the mandatory dissection of bodies, which helps prevent conflicts related to national and religious traditions," the minister said at the government meeting.
According to him, forensic examination methods will be improved, and a step-by-step algorithm for regulating the actions of experts and related bodies will be developed. This will help shorten the duration of examinations, reduce the number of unfounded examinations, and improve their quality.
Furthermore, the minister believes that it is necessary to develop a new version of the "E-expertise 2.0" information system using artificial intelligence.
"This system allows monitoring the expert's actions during the research process, as well as alerting about possible mistakes in research, actions, or inactions. Additionally, it will implement a function to prevent errors that may occur due to the human factor by conducting examination processes directly within the system itself," the minister said.
