Presidential decrees on measures to implement investment projects for the production of electrical energy through the incineration of solid household waste in Tashkent city, Andijan, Namangan, Fergana, Tashkent, Kashkadarya, and Samarkand regions (PQ-116, PQ-117, PQ-118 dated 24.03.2025) were adopted
According to the decisions, in these areas, the ecological situation will be improved, and electricity will be produced through the introduction of modern solutions and technologies in the waste recycling sector, and direct investments will be attracted to the sector.
According to the agreements on the purchase of electricity and the supply of solid household waste, project companies will sell the produced electricity to “Uzenergosotish” JSC on a guaranteed basis for 30 years.
Investors and project companies will ensure the launch of equipment with the following production capacities in 2025–2027, including:
In Tashkent region, 2.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed per day, generating 390 million kWh of electricity;
In Andijan region, 1.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed per day, generating 240 million kWh of electricity;
In Kashkadarya region, 1.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed per day, generating 240 million kWh of electricity;
In Samarkand region, 1.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed, generating 240 million kWh of electricity;
In Namangan region, 1.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed per day, generating 227.5 million kWh of electricity;
In Fergana region, 1.5 thousand tons of waste will be thermally processed per day, generating 227.5 million kWh of electricity.
