According to reports, the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) is considering the possibility of withdrawing some American troops sent in 2022 to support defense efforts of countries bordering Ukraine. This was reported by zamon uz here.

Information indicates that during that period, nearly 20,000 U.S. military personnel were stationed in Poland and Romania. Currently, the possible withdrawal of about half of these forces is under discussion.

Some European officials, however, are expressing concerns about this potential decision. In their view, the reduction of U.S. forces could leave European allies isolated in the face of Russia's increasingly assertive military pressure.

The Pentagon has not yet responded to a request for comment from NBC News journalists on this matter.
