In Tashkent, an individual who intimidated a metro employee to extort money from him was detained. This was reported by the press service of “Tashkent Metro” JSC here.
It was reported that employees of the “Regime Compliance” service received information about a citizen M.A. who threatened the personal life of A.A., the duty officer of the “Qo‘yliq” metro station, by using violence and intimidation to demand 500,000 Uzbek soms from him.
As a result, on April 10, 2025, during an operation conducted jointly by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Metro Security Department and the “Regime Compliance” service of “Tashkent Metro” JSC, citizen M.A. was caught red-handed demanding another 500,000 soms from metro service's duty officer A.A. at “Qo‘yliq” metro station.
It is noted that this citizen had previously been convicted under Articles 166 (robbery) and 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code.
Currently, M.A. has been detained in accordance with the procedure established by law enforcement agencies.
