In the Nagano prefecture of Japan, a bear invaded two households, severely injuring three individuals. Such aggressions are increasingly being observed in the area. This was reported by zamon.uz here.

According to local police reports, the incident occurred in the early morning. The bear first broke into a house where a 66-year-old woman was living by smashing a window and attacked two people in the kitchen. According to the victim, she first heard a loud noise, then saw a large black bear in the living room.

“I was in the kitchen. Suddenly, I noticed movement in the room – it was a large, black object. The moment I realized it was a bear, I screamed,” the woman says.

After the attack, the wild animal fled to the neighboring house. Hunting association personnel quickly reached the scene of the event, but the bear had already escaped.

Among those injured were a 96-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man. The bear attacked the man outside the house in a shed. Their condition is serious, but specific medical details have not yet been disclosed.

Official statistics indicate that from April 2023 to March 2024, there have been 1430 cases of bears entering residential areas in Nagano Prefecture. Experts link these incidents to shrinking forests and challenges in searching for food.

Currently, the local population has been urged to stay alert, schools have been temporarily closed, and groups of hunters have been mobilized to search for the bears.
