NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, during his visit to the Ukrainian city of Odesa, condemned the Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Odesa and Sumy.

“Just this past weekend, Russia targeted residential buildings and a hospital with kamikaze drones… Only two days ago, on Palm Sunday – a holy day in the Christian calendar – Russia killed more than 30 civilians in Sumy with two ballistic missiles,” said Mark Rutte.

He also described these attacks as part of Russia’s “brutal campaign” against civilian infrastructure and facilities across Ukraine.

Rutte emphasized that NATO’s support for Ukraine remains steadfast, even if “some have questioned it in recent months.”

He recalled that NATO allies have expressed their intentions to allocate more than 20 billion euros in military aid to Kyiv since the beginning of 2025.

He also noted that NATO members support former U.S. President Donald Trump’s “aspirations for peace.”
