The Indian and Pakistani military opened fire on each other along the checkpoints in Jammu and Kashmir. This line was established in 1949 and marks the border between the armies of the two countries. This was reported by "Hindustan Times."
It is noted that the incident occurred several hours before the visit of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, General Upendra Dvivedi, to Shrinagar and Udhampur, which is scheduled for today, April 25.
"At certain points of the checkpoint, there were incidents of gunfire initiated by Pakistan. An effective response was given to this," the report says.
So far, neither side has provided official information about the losses. It is unknown whether there were any casualties or injuries. Despite this, Delhi and Islamabad accuse each other of violating the ceasefire.
