Within the framework of the European Union's "CADAP" program to prevent the spread of narcotic drugs in Central Asia, a ceremony was held to hand over special equipment and machinery to the relevant ministries and agencies of our country.
The event was attended by representatives of the European Union delegation in Uzbekistan, heads and specialists of the "CADAP" program, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Committee for Drug Control, the "Mahalla" Charitable Public Foundation, and the National Center for Drug Control.
The "CADAP" program, launched in 2001, is an initiative of the European Union, aimed at uniting the efforts of law enforcement agencies in combating the illicit trafficking of drugs in the countries of Central Asia and their transit to European countries.
According to the director of the "CADAP-7" program, Ernest Robello, the provided special equipment not only strengthens the analytical and technical potential of the relevant agencies, but also creates additional conditions for ensuring cooperation and real-time information exchange.
The participants also paid special attention to modern threats associated with the sharp increase in the spread of synthetic drugs and the active use of the Internet, messengers, and anonymous payment systems in this area.
