Reports circulated on social media that the banks of the South Fergana Canal, which flows through the Sarvontepa neighborhood of Buloqboshi district, Andijan region, were damaged, resulting in water reaching homes. The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services reacted to this situation.
Currently, the flow of water in the main part of the South Fergana Main Canal has been completely stopped. Responsible organizations have taken all necessary safety measures and are ensuring the safe passage of water. The situation is fully under control.
"At the same time, a working group headed by the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Toir Alimatov, also arrived in this area," the statement said.
The comment also states that specialists are visiting households and are not conducting work to study and determine the damage caused.
