The Administration of the President and the People's Reception Office led the Republic working group continued its activities in the regions of Andijan, Surkhandarya, Khorezm, and Jizzakh.

The activity of the Republic working groups, consisting of representatives from nearly thirty ministries and agencies, consisted of addressing social and economic issues on the ground, improving infrastructure in neighborhoods, among other directions of practical assistance derived from the problems raised by the population during direct appeals and house-to-house inquiries, visitors from the Presidential virtual and People’s receptions.

For this purpose, more than 200 public field receptions were organized last week, receiving close to 3,500 applications, of which more than 1,000 were positively resolved on the spot. Applications that require time and funds were taken under the control of the Republic working group, and relevant ministries and agencies were given instructions to find solutions.

During open discussions, citizens primarily raised issues related to improving communal and social infrastructure in the areas, social support, employment, financial assistance, and healthcare sectors. These issues were studied by the responsible authorities in the respective fields, and practical assistance was provided.

In particular, with the assistance of the Republic working group officials, nearly 30 km of internal roads were gravelled, and more than 15 km received asphalt covering to meet the required standards.

To improve the power supply, more than 260 transformers were replaced or underwent major repairs, and more than 3,000 new reinforced concrete support columns were installed; nearly 30 km of new SIP cables were laid.

To improve the provision of drinking and irrigation water, 3 new water facilities were installed, 17 were repaired, 24 km of pipes were restored to working condition, 235 km of ditches, canals, and drains were cleared of waste, 14 km were concreted.

Another main issue in more than 200 social sector objects with difficult sanitary and ecological conditions was practical assistance to citizens in neighborhoods with high unemployment and poverty level.  

In such neighborhoods, within the framework of the "Family Entrepreneurship Development" program, based on the experiences of Saykhunobod, Uychi, Zarbdor, and Ghijduvan, new projects were implemented, young people were supported, additional jobs were created, and practical assistance was provided, including organizing additional employment fairs.

For instance, within the framework of the "Family Entrepreneurship Development" program, 1,800 citizens were provided with 35 billion UZS of preferential loans. "

As a result of the measures taken and the job fairs held, material conditions were created to improve the quality of life and income sources for approximately 1,300 poor families in 97 neighborhoods. About 12,000 unemployed citizens were placed into seasonal and permanent jobs, around 300 citizens were directed for free training to enhance their qualifications.

To protect and strengthen public health, in-depth medical examinations were conducted for nearly 33,000 citizens. As a result, 1,100 citizens received referrals for treatment to the Republic specialized centers, 260 received wheelchairs, 466 received prosthetic-orthopedic devices, and  5,800 were provided for free.

Additionally, to support the social safety of the population, nearly 90 affordable food fairs were organized in poor neighborhoods.

The next destinations for the Republic working group are the Fergana, Syrdarya, and Tashkent regions.
