Reports have emerged on social networks about a citizen in Samarkand transporting a lion cub in his car. The regional Environmental Agency, the regional prosecutor's office, and the police are conducting an investigation regarding the situation.
It is noted that the investigation revealed a resident of Samarkand district had left an African lion cub tied up with a wire fence in the "Oqbo'yra" neighborhood's field.
According to information, the lion cub was provided first aid, temporarily taken to the regional canine center, received special care, and was medically examined.
At present, relevant documents are being formalized regarding this violation, and the regional prosecutor's office is giving a legal assessment of the situation.
