Kyrgyzstan is ready to provide a platform for signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced during the visit of the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan, Nurlanbek Turgunbek Uly, to Yerevan.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received a Kyrgyz parliamentary delegation. At the meeting, Simonyan noted that the draft peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been fully developed and the Armenians are ready to sign it.

In response to this statement, the Chairman of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Nurlanbek Turgunbek Ulu, said:

"We support efforts aimed at ensuring sustainable peace and security in the region. If necessary, Kyrgyzstan is ready to take on the role of mediator and provide a platform for signing a peace agreement."

It should be recalled that on March 13 of this year, Armenia and Azerbaijan announced that they had reached an agreement on the last two sensitive issues out of 17 points in the draft peace agreement. Yerevan has announced its readiness for negotiations on the place and time of signing the document, but Baku considers these negotiations premature.

The Azerbaijani side puts forward two more demands for the full normalization of relations: the official dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, whose activities have been suspended since 2022, and amendments to the Constitution of Armenia.
