US President Donald Trump believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "playing with fire." The White House leader announced this on social media.
"What Vladimir Putin doesn't understand is that if it weren't for me, there would be a lot of bad things happening with Russia now, really bad things," Trump wrote without dwelling on the details.
"He is playing with fire!," the US president added.
For context, Trump sharply criticized Putin after 12 people were killed following Russia's massive missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities.
"He's completely mad! He's killing too many people unnecessarily, and I'm not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being launched into Ukrainian cities for no apparent reason," Trump wrote about Putin.
The Kremlin considered this criticism to have been written under the influence of "emotional pressure."
