Israel plans to build 22 new Jewish settlements on the West Jordan coast. Also, outposts built without official permission will have legal status. This was announced by the country's Minister of Finance and leader of the "Religious Zionism" party, Bezalel Smotrich.
Smotrich called this decision a "historical milestone." At the same time, human rights organizations and the German government assessed Israel's construction policy on the West Bank as contrary to international law.
