According to the sources, a rapid operation was carried out by the operatives of the Tashkent Region Department of Internal Affairs in collaboration with the employees of the State Security Services regional department.
In the course of the rapid operation, two individuals from Tashkent, born in 1998, were caught with evidence as they attempted to flee while transporting “hashish,” a narcotic substance smuggled from a neighboring state, from its hidden location in Bekabad city to a buyer in Kokand city.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the narcotic substance was buried in the form of a “stash” by a drug courier smuggling it across the border.
Currently, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the detained individual under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are being conducted.
