After a three-month blockade by Israel, the “Gaza Humanitarian Aid Fund” (GHF) restarted the distribution of food in the Gaza Strip.
However, this activity has been criticized by the UN and a number of independent organizations.
The fund's aid centers are located in the south of Gaza, near the city of Rafah. However, citizens are required to undergo a check by the Israel army - “TSAHAL” in order to receive help.
This, according to international experts, has raised concerns that Israel wants to force the population to move from north to south through “GHF”.
Also, the former head of “GHF”, US army veteran Jake Wood, has resigned. He admitted the fund failed to adhere to international humanitarian principles - impartiality, neutrality, and independence.
Investigations concerning the activities of “GHF” have started in Switzerland. Currently, the legality of the fund is also in question.
