We remind you, on February 6th of this year, Olga Bekar, the then Ambassador of Turkey to Uzbekistan, met with Shavkat Umurzakov, the mayor of Tashkent. The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the meeting and informed that his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan was coming to an end, and shared his considerations on subjects previously discussed - the expansion of the Turkish school, naming one of Tashkent's streets after Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the first president of Turkey, and the establishment of a Turkish park in Tashkent city.
For your information, the Turkish school in Uzbekistan was established in 1993. In 1998, an academic lyceum began its operations. There, only the children of families with Turkish citizenship are taught based on the curriculum provided by the Turkish Ministry of National Education.
