Climatologist Erkin Abdulahatov received questions about whether the escalation of tensions between Iran and Israel, Iran's nuclear facilities, and missile strikes on uranium mining reserves amid potential radioactive disasters at those facilities have any impact on Uzbekistan.
According to his statement, should radioactive radiation intensify, under certain weather conditions, this radioactive dust could enter Uzbekistan. This would occur during 2-3 of the 15 synoptic processes that affect and develop in Uzbekistan.
The scientist further added that these processes are part of the summer thermal depression and the low-pressure minor gradient atmospheric field process, known as the 11th and 13th synoptic processes.
Considering these two processes dominate our region during the summer months, it is currently possible to predict an unimpeded entry of currents from Iran into our region. The popular saying that "the summer heat comes to us from Iran through Turkmenistan" is not without reason, says the climatologist.
