The State Security Service's Directorate for the Kashkadarya region in cooperation with internal affairs agencies apprehended a person born in 1995 from the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region while he was transporting 896 grams of “hashish” smuggled from the Republic of Tajikistan to a hidden location in the Denov district for the purpose of selling it at a future date. The DXX reported this to darakchi.uz.
In addition, as the operation continued, another 2 kg 260 grams of “opium” were properly seized from his residence.
During another operation carried out by the DXX Directorate for the Namangan region, in collaboration with customs and internal affairs agencies, a vehicle driven by a citizen of Namangan city, born in 1987, previously convicted, was stopped and searched, revealing 2 kg 990 grams of “hashish” inside the vehicle's salon.
According to the preliminary investigation, it was planned to sell the narcotic substance, delivered to the Yangiqo‘rg‘on district area through roundabout routes by a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, in the city of Namangan.
In Fergana region, a criminal partnership between two citizens living in Margilan city, born in 1973, and in Toshloq district, born in 1971, culminated in their arrest by DXX and internal affairs officers at the time they sold 487 grams of “hashish” smuggled from Tajikistan for 5000 US dollars.
Additionally, 599 grams of “hashish” were procedurally seized from the residence of the citizen from Toshloq district.
It should be noted that, despite having been convicted several times before, these individuals failed to learn from their mistakes and draw the correct conclusions.
A similar offense was recorded in the Samarkand region, where especially, a person residing in Urgut district, born in 1983, previously convicted several times for crimes related to the trade of narcotic substances, was caught at the time of selling 982 grams of “opium” smuggled from the Republic of Tajikistan with his criminal partner, born in 1991, to a buyer for 8000 US dollars.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against the persons involved in all cases, and pre-trial detention as a preventive measure has been applied.
