In a medical facility in Russia's Republic of Tuva, Kyzyl city, doctors removed 27 lighters and 1 coin from a 56-year-old male patient's stomach, as reported by zamon.uz.

The foreign objects were detected in the patient's stomach through a computed tomography scan. The procedure concluded with the patient undergoing an endoscopic surgery under general anesthesia. The surgery involved the participation of endoscopy department staff and anesthesiologists.

According to the doctors, this case is considered one of the rare and noteworthy surgeries in medical practice. Particularly, removing such a large number of foreign objects without surgical intervention is regarded as an exceptional experience.

The patient, however, provided no explanation as to how the lighters and coin ended up in his stomach.
