Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to India in the coming days. During the visit, he is expected to participate in the annual India-Russia summit scheduled to take place in New Delhi.

The summit will include discussions on military-technical cooperation, energy, particularly nuclear energy, and projects in the Arctic between the two countries. Additionally, issues of food security and strategic cooperation under the conditions of global sanctions will also be on the agenda.

We note that Putin's last visit to India took place in 2021.

Currently, India remains one of the largest buyers of Russian oil. The new price caps recently imposed by the European Union—reducing the limit from $60 to $45 per barrel—will be one of the key topics in negotiations between Moscow and New Delhi regarding oil trade.

During Putin's visit, open discussions are also expected regarding international sanctions and their impact on Russia-India relations.
