The U.S. is urging Europe to join new tariffs against Russia.

If the US imposes new, secondary tariffs against Russia, European countries should also join this measure — stated US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

In her address, she said: "I call on our allies in Europe, who have previously taken a strong stance against Russia, to follow our lead if we implement these tariffs."

This statement was made against the backdrop of discussions on new economic measures aimed at increasing pressure on Russia.
