Officials in Kandahar, a city located in the southern region of Afghanistan, have banned the sale of dolls. This was reported by Zamon.uz.

According to the decision, a number of toys intended for children, especially dolls resembling human figures, are declared haram (forbidden). The authorities justify this with religious reasons: in their view, such toys resemble idols prohibited in Islam.

The Kandahar city administration has ordered all merchants to immediately remove the banned products from their shelves.
