Women who are members of low-income families in Uzbekistan will be allocated funds up to 50 times the BHM for home repairs.

This was stated in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated July 26, titled "Measures to improve the system of social assistance using funds from the 'Women's Notebook,' 'Youth Notebook,' and 'Charity and Support' funds." The resolution also introduced amendments and additions to the government resolution on "Measures to further improve the system for studying and resolving women's issues."

Accordingly, the housing conditions of women from low-income families and those with monthly incomes will be assessed by sectoral working groups involving relevant specialists. A defect report and an estimate for repair or construction materials will be prepared.

For each home repair, funds up to 50 times the BHM will be transferred from the "Women's Notebook" fund to suppliers of necessary construction materials (goods, services, or works) in accordance with the contract. Starting from August 1, with the BHM set at 412,000 soums, this amount will be 20.6 million soums.

Sector leaders, together with district (city) construction departments, will organize and monitor the timely and quality execution of repair works.

Additionally, women from low-income families will receive coverage of up to 50% of rental payments, but no more than 2 times the BHM, or 3 times the BHM in Tashkent, Nukus, and regional centers, from the "Women's Notebook" fund.
