According to the report of "Uzbekistan Temir Yo'llari" JSC, today, on July 30 at 16:09, a KamAZ truck and a passenger train collided at the 592-kilometer section between "Baday" and "Beruniy" stations in Karakalpakstan.
Preliminary information indicates that the truck driver attempted to cross an unguarded railway crossing. At that time, a train traveling from Andijan to Kungirot with 150 passengers on board was passing through the crossing.
The truck collided with the train, causing the locomotive to derail. There were no casualties as a result of the incident. The train passengers were transported to Nukus and Kungirot in 6 buses.
According to the Department of Safety at Transport and Tourism Facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the train's technical damages were repaired by 17:29, and it continued its journey to "Beruniy" station.
