The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek soum on August 11.
According to the announcement, the dollar rose by 79.04 soums, reaching 12,672.81 soums. The euro and ruble rates also increased, with the euro rising by 55.50 soums to 14,753.69 soums, while the ruble rose by 0.40 soums to 158.89 soums.
For reference, after three days of decline, the dollar rose to 12,593.77 soums. According to the Central Bank's announcement, in June, Uzbeks purchased dollars at a record high value in history for the first time.
