In the first half of the year, 9,570 people were deprived of liberty in Uzbekistan. The Supreme Court information service reported on this.

It is reported that the largest share of those deprived of liberty fell to the city of Tashkent (1,982 people), Tashkent region (1,244 people), and Fergana region (1,044).

Over the half-year period, one person in Namangan region was sentenced to life imprisonment for the entire republic.
