On the invitation of Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for an official visit to this country on August 30.
According to the program of the visit, the head of our state will participate in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a meeting in the "SCO Plus" format in the city of Tianjin on August 31 - September 1.
Within the SCO, pressing issues of further developing multifaceted cooperation in priority areas and improving the organization's activities will be discussed.
The adoption of the Tianjin Declaration, joint documents, and decisions is planned.
The leader of Uzbekistan will hold talks with Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China, in Beijing on September 2, as well as meet with the heads of foreign delegations and representatives of Chinese business circles.
On September 3, the head of our state is expected to participate in celebratory events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II.
