A raid conducted by law enforcement agencies during a concert of Uzbek singer Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Krai has sparked widespread public discussion. According to it, hundreds of citizens were subjected to document checks during the event at the "Korona" banquet hall.
The Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has issued an official statement regarding the situation. It is noted that the Agency's representative office in Russia sent a licensed lawyer to the scene to protect the rights and interests of citizens.
"Currently, this situation is being studied within the framework of the current legislation of the Russian Federation," the Agency's statement says.
For reference, this raid was carried out during the concert, and its reasons have not been officially disclosed yet. The public is sharply criticizing such treatment of Uzbek citizens in Russia.
