Ismail Jurabekov, an honored irrigator of Uzbekistan, known for his many years of work in the agrarian and water management sectors, has passed away at the age of 94. He was born on September 12, 1931, in the Samarkand region.
Ismail Jurabekov worked in leading positions in the country's agrarian sector in the 1990s and early 2000s. In particular, he served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources from 1994 to 1998, and as the President's State Advisor on Agrarian Issues from 2000 to 2004.
After a long break, he returned to public service in 2021 as an advisor to the Minister of Water Resources.
During his career, Ismail Jurabekov was awarded a number of high awards and honors, including the orders "Mehnat Shukhrati," "El-Yurt Hurmati," "Buyuk Xizmatlari Uchun," and "Fidokorona Xizmatlari Uchun."
