The first snow of the season fell in the Kostanay region in northern Kazakhstan. According to a report by "Todayinfo.kz," snow fell noticeably in the region, and residents are actively discussing this situation with photos and videos on social networks.
According to meteorologists, the air temperature dropped to 1–6 degrees at night, while during the day it is expected to be 3–8 degrees above zero. Precipitation is expected to continue, and rain may turn into snow again.
A large part of the country remains under the influence of a northern cyclone. As a result, heavy rain and cold weather are observed in the northern regions, while no precipitation is expected in the south and east. Wind intensification is possible throughout the republic, and fog may occur in the morning and at night.
Kostanay police urged drivers to be cautious — roads may be slippery after the precipitation. Motorists are advised to reduce speed and maintain distance, while pedestrians are recommended to cross the road only at designated places.
