Today, on October 3, the National Agency for Social Protection issued a detailed, official statement regarding a young man with a disability who was caned in a Tashkent college.
As we previously reported, a case of violence against a student studying at a specialized vocational technical school for persons with limited abilities in Tashkent city had been identified.
This case was taken under control by the National Agency for Social Protection and thoroughly investigated by the district prosecutor's office and the district Department of Internal Affairs. It was found that the incident occurred due to a disagreement between two underage students, and the victim was injured by his roommate.
Currently, the necessary medical assistance is being provided to the injured child, and he has been taken under the supervision of the National Agency for Social Protection.
Furthermore, a legal assessment has been made and relevant measures have been taken against the officials of the institution who failed to ensure control and allowed such a situation to occur.
