According to Muhammadqodir Mahmudov, a senior inspector of the National Center for Drug Control under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, recently, narcotic substances have been found not only in their traditional forms but also in the composition of energy drinks, coffee, sweets, and even dietary supplements.
The most dangerous aspect of this situation is that even a single use can subject a person to the substance's influence, leading to mental and physical dependence. Experts call this process an "invisible threat" because modern narcotics are not immediately detectable through external signs.
According to statistical data, 5 secret drug laboratories were identified in 2024, and 8 more were identified in the first 6 months of 2025. Another painful fact is the increasing involvement of students in drug-related crimes. This year alone, 46 university students have been identified as being involved in drug trafficking.
Officials and experts are calling on parents to be vigilant. Because today, in many cases, young people's descent into narcotic substance use is not detected in time by family members.
