According to the Financial Times, US President Donald Trump advised Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy to hand over Donbas to Russia, saying "otherwise Putin will wipe out Ukraine."
The conversation during the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy was particularly sharp. According to sources, Trump urged Ukraine to agree to Russia's demands, stating that this was "the only way to end the war."
Previously, The Washington Post, citing two high-ranking sources, also wrote that Putin, in his conversation with Trump on October 16, had set full control over the Donetsk region as a condition for a ceasefire.
In exchange, Putin expressed readiness to refrain from the parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions not occupied by Russia.
