Details of the daring theft that occurred on the morning of October 19th at the famous Louvre Museum in Paris have been announced. According to the French Ministry of Internal Affairs, the criminals, dressed as museum staff, entered the building using a construction crane and stole valuable items.
A group of three or four people opened two display cases in the Apollo Gallery and took the tiaras inside. They arrived on scooters and quickly fled the scene. During the investigation, a crown belonging to Empress Eugénie, consisting of 1,354 diamonds and 56 emeralds, was found near the museum. Experts indicated that this crime was committed by an experienced and organized group.
The police anti-banditry unit has taken over the case. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Laurent Nuñez, stated that the criminals could be foreigners and expressed hope for their swift capture.
