According to a new resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, citizens of Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, China, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia can now visit Uzbekistan visa-free for a period of 30 days, official sources reported.

This resolution was adopted within the framework of the country's policy of international openness and tourism development strategy, aiming to increase the number of tourists coming to Uzbekistan and to activate business relations.

At the same time, the document stipulates that the processing time for business visas for citizens of 12 countries — Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Japan — has been set at 2 days. Citizens of the UAE, Iran, and Pakistan will be able to obtain business visas within 3 days.

The number of countries whose citizens can now enter Uzbekistan without a visa has reached 86. This is considered a record indicator for the country and is expected to positively impact its international image.

China is the latest addition to the new list. Previously, Chinese citizens only had the right to visit Uzbekistan visa-free for 7 days. According to the new resolution, this period has now been extended to 30 days.

Specialists emphasize that the visa-free regime not only increases tourist flow but also creates new opportunities in economic cooperation and trade. In particular, this resolution could be an important step in implementing investment projects with countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, according to the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, the number of visitors to the country has been sharply increasing in recent years, and by the end of 2025, this figure is expected to exceed 8 million people.

Experts believe that the expansion of visa-free regimes will turn Uzbekistan into one of the leading countries in Central Asia based on an "open door" policy. This will activate not only the tourism sector but also international business, transport, and cultural cooperation.

With the implementation of the new resolution, a new stage in the country's foreign economic relations is expected to begin — meaning Uzbekistan will establish visa-free relations with even more countries, strengthening its position in the process of global integration.
