U.S. President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia Sergio Gor and Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landauer will visit Uzbekistan at the end of October, prior to which they will be in Kazakhstan. This was reported by the U.S. Department of State's press service.
They will meet with government representatives and discuss "a wide range of economic and security issues," the report says.
"The United States continues to cooperate with our Central Asian partners to strengthen relations and expand trade ties. We look forward to expanding bilateral cooperation between our countries and celebrating a decade of partnership within the C5+1 diplomatic platform between the United States and the Central Asian states," the report says.
