Today, on October 29, the 12th meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO began its work in Samarkand within the framework of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.

During the session, urgent issues on the agenda are being discussed. In particular:
— the development of youth policy;
— strengthening cooperation between states, civil society, and the private sector;
— sustainable development;
— issues of inclusion have been included in the agenda.
The meeting was opened by Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the National Commission of Uzbekistan for UNESCO, and she was elected as the chairperson of the meeting.
In her speech, she emphasized that the council's agenda is rich in content and covers important directions for UNESCO's activities.

For information, this conference is being held for the first time outside of its headquarters in Paris, in Samarkand, a crossroads of the Great Silk Road.
