Donald Trump's administration reduced the refugee admission quota to the lowest level in history.
According to Bloomberg, this decision was made based on "national interests and humanitarian reasons."
According to the new policy, priority in relocation will be given to white South Africans. Human rights organizations sharply criticized this decision, stating that it would halt the entry process into the U.S. for previously approved candidates.
Trump also banned entry into the U.S. for citizens of 12 countries, and in some states, discontent grew following immigration raids.
