The infographic published by Visual Capitalist shows the 15 longest rivers on Earth. It reflects the length of each water system and through how many countries' territories it flows.

For several decades, the Nile, with a length of 6,650 km, has been considered the "longest river in the world." However, recent research has shown that the Amazon River — if its source is accepted as the Apurímac in Peru — could be 6,990 km long.
Asia led the ranking with seven rivers. Among them, water flows like the Yangtze, Yellow River, Mekong, and Amur represent the vast territory of the region and the abundance of mountainous sources.
At the same time, there are no rivers longer than 3200 km in Australia and Antarctica — most of them dry up, being highly dependent on seasonal rains.
