At a videoconference meeting discussing poverty reduction and ensuring employment, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to remove from the poverty registry persons with limited income opportunities and disabilities, stating that they should receive full state support.
The meeting also announced that starting next year, the "Equal Opportunity - Inclusive Employment" project will be launched. According to the project, plans are in place to provide jobs for 40,000 people with disabilities and allocate interest-free loans of up to 30 million soums to them through the Employment Fund.
Families at risk of falling back into poverty will not be deprived of social benefits. They will receive financial assistance for 6 months and child benefits will be paid; additionally, they will be granted the opportunity to use 110 types of services, such as kindergarten, extracurricular activity expenses, and medical treatment orders, for an extra 12 months.
Furthermore, a system of targeted assistance will be introduced to proactively identify and support families who may fall into poverty due to difficult life circumstances.
The execution of these tasks and ensuring their effectiveness in the regions has been entrusted to Shahnoza Mirziyoyeva, the First Deputy Director of the National Social Protection Agency.
