Mirabbos Abdulhakovich Mirzaahmedov, who passed away on November 19 at the age of 84, was one of the most prominent and hardworking representatives of national culture and Uzbek television art. He was born in 1941 in Tashkent into a family of intellectuals and received a professional education in theater and film.
Mirzaahmedov began his career as an assistant director at the Uzbekistan Television and Radio Company. Over a period of more than 60 years, he worked as a director and chief director in the "Yoshlar" (Youth) editorial office, as a top-tier director at the "Uzbekistan" TV channel, and as the director and host of the program "Otalar So'zi – Aqlning Ko'zi" (The Word of Fathers is the Eye of Reason), which has been broadcast for over 40 years.
Television films such as "Bahar Qaytmaydi" (Spring Will Not Return), "Izlaiman" (I Am Searching), "Qalbingga Quloq Sol" (Listen to Your Heart), "Bahs" (Debate), "Uch Ildiz" (Three Roots), and "Dunyoning Ishlari" (The Ways of the World), which he filmed, have taken a worthy place in the national cultural treasury.
The President's condolence message particularly acknowledged Mirabbos Mirzaahmedov's popular creativity, his services in promoting spiritual and moral ideas, and his mentoring activities for the youth.
Mirabbos Mirzaahmedov was awarded the honorary title "Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan," and the orders "Mehnat Shukhrati" (Labor Glory) and "Dustlik" (Friendship).
"The memory of the distinguished artist, sincere and modest person, and kind mentor of the youth, Mirabbos Mirzaahmedov, will always live in our hearts," stated the President's condolence message.
