A series of rapid measures aimed at preventing the illegal trade and distribution of narcotic drugs in the Fergana region were carried out through the joint cooperation of the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Customs authorities. The information service of the SSS reported this.
During the operational measures, a "Matiz" brand car belonging to a citizen born in 1996 and residing in the city of Margilan was inspected in accordance with the established procedure. During the inspection process, 866 grams of "hashish" substance were found in the vehicle's salon and seized as material evidence.
According to preliminary information, it was established that the suspect planned to obtain illegal income by selling this narcotic drug.
A criminal case has been initiated against the citizen regarding the situation under Part 5 of Article 273 via Article 25 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied against him. Investigative actions are currently underway.
Based on another operational report, it was discovered that a group of individuals residing in the cities of Fergana and Andijan were illegally selling potent medicines, and they were apprehended in the city of Fergana by the State Security Service, Internal Affairs, and Customs authorities.
During the operation, two individuals residing in the Qo'rg'ontepa district of the Andijan region were apprehended while selling 4,508 units of the potent medicine "Regapen," which had been smuggled into the country from the Kyrgyz Republic, to a buyer for $12,800 USD.
A criminal case has been initiated against them regarding this situation under Part 1 of Article 246 via Article 28 and Part 5 of Article 251-prim of the Criminal Code, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied. Investigative actions are continuing.
