Tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova has obtained Uzbek citizenship and will now officially represent the country in international tournaments. The press service of the Tennis Federation reported this.
In recent years, 24-year-old Kamilla Rakhimova has become one of the most consistently and professionally developing players in world tennis.
Among her achievements are — highest singles ranking: world No. 60 (December 30, 2024), highest doubles ranking: world No. 51 (August 25, 2025), 3 WTA tournament victories in doubles, a WTA 125 tournament victory in singles, as well as several other victories in doubles.
In the current season, Kamilla Rakhimova continues to show high results: among her latest achievements — reaching the quarterfinals in doubles at the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati in August 2025.
According to the ranking update on November 28, 2025, the athlete holds the 109th position in the WTA singles ranking.
"Kamilla Rakhimova joining the Uzbekistan national team is a historic event. She has proven herself as a strong and competitive tennis player, capable of playing on equal terms with the world's best players.
