According to data from the Federation's Center for the Development of Export Products, pasta worth $154 million was supplied abroad during this period.
The bulk of exports traditionally goes to neighboring countries. Belarus leads with a 35% share, having purchased $54 million worth of pasta from Russia since the beginning of the year — this is 43% more than last year.
Kazakhstan is in second place with $36 million, while Uzbekistan rounds out the top three with an import volume of $16 million. The country increased its purchases of Russian pasta by 19% compared to last year.
In Russian exports, uncooked pasta primarily leads — they account for about 63% of the total volume. Egg-free uncooked pasta is in second place with a 32% share.
As emphasized by the Center's head, Ilya Ilyushin, pasta remains one of the staple food products in the former Soviet states, which continues to expand the export potential of Russian production.
