Reports have spread on social networks about money being withdrawn from bank cards linked to the Humans application without the users' consent. The Central Bank announced that prompt investigative work has begun regarding the situation.
It is noted that appeals regarding funds being withdrawn through the Humans application began arriving at the Central Bank around 08:30 on December 8. Regarding this situation, the Central Bank, within the scope of its authority, contacted Octogram JSC (Paylov – trademark) and instructed to suspend P2P operations to ensure compliance with security requirements and eliminate potential vulnerabilities. As of December 9, all payment services conducted through the Humans mobile application by Octogram JSC have been temporarily suspended.
Payments and transfers made via Uzcard and Humo cards are operating normally. The possibility of using cards in applications of other banks and payment organizations has also been preserved.
"At the moment, prompt investigative work has begun regarding this situation, and all suspicious transactions, technical processes, and practical cooperation between platforms are being fully studied. Additional official information will be provided based on the investigation results," stated the Central Bank's message.
We remind you that in the summer of 2025, Octobank sued Humans and won a court case to recover 500 billion soums in financial damages from it. "Uzbektelecom" also announced that Humans had arrived without paying a large amount of debt. In this regard, a lawsuit has been filed with the relevant court to recover the existing debt and to reduce future damage to the company.
