During a rapid raid conducted in Andijan within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" initiative, narcotics smuggled into the country in a "Lacetti" car were found. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.

During a rapid operation conducted by employees of the DIA and the Ministry of Internal Affairs at a checkpoint in the Buston district of Andijan region, a "Lacetti" moving on the "Andijan-Tashkent" route was stopped and inspected. During the inspection, 2 kg 994 grams of "hashish" belonging to J.R., born in 1984, who was driving the car, were discovered and officially documented in accordance with procedural order.

The raid was continued, and G.N., born in 1993, suspected of being his criminal accomplice, was also apprehended. It is known that they purchased the narcotics from sellers in Kyrgyzstan for 23 thousand dollars, smuggled them into Uzbekistan, and intended to sell them in Tashkent.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under Part 2 of Article 28,246 and Part 5 of Article 25,273 of the Criminal Code. The measure of restraint "detention" has been applied to the accused. Investigative actions are ongoing.
