A court decision regarding the dispute arising over the license issued to "PROFI UNIVERSITY" in the legal direction by the Ministry of Higher Education has been announced.
Previously, the Ministry of Higher Education had informed that due to a technical malfunction that occurred in the license.gov.uz information system from 06:19 to 09:53 on August 29, 2025, requests to amend the current licenses of some non-state higher education institutions for applications whose review period had not expired were formed by the system as a positive conclusion in violation of the requirement. The Ministry assessed this situation as a technical error and stated that the investigation into its causes is ongoing.
In response to this statement, the Ministry of Justice reported that no malfunction was observed in the system and that it was fully operational during the indicated time interval.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations (as the applicant) applied to the court with a demand to cancel license No. 996228 issued on August 29, 2025, to "PROFI UNIVERSITY" LLC (the respondent) for providing non-state educational services.
However, by a decision of the Tashkent Inter-District Economic Court on October 24, 2025, the Ministry's claim was dismissed.
University head Bektosh Hatamov reported on December 10 that the appellate court had ruled in favor of the Ministry, and the case is now being considered in the cassation instance.
