On December 11, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in the city of Ashgabat on a working visit. At the capital's airport, the head of state was met by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, and other officials.
In the very first minutes of the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the national leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The head of our state congratulated him on the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality and wished success to the work of the international forum.
During the talks, issues of expanding relations of strategic partnership, friendship, and good neighborliness in political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian directions were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on urgent issues of regional and international importance.
